INVITATION LETTER OF THE VU LAN GREAT CEREMONY \u2013 PARENTS\u2019 DAY – 2567 <\/strong><\/span>
\nSunday, September 17, 2023 <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

To: Dear Monastic, lay Buddhists, and everyone<\/em>,<\/strong><\/span>
\nWe respectfully hear that:<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u201cEach year, lunar July, the full Moon Day<\/strong><\/span>
\nThe filial children diligently say well-being prayers;<\/strong><\/span>
\nPraying for parents to live long<\/strong><\/span>
\nInstructing children and grandchildren to take refuge in peacefulness together.\u201d<\/strong><\/span>
\nIndeed, yearly, when the great Ceremony of Vu Lan – Parents’ Day, the Buddha’s children, <\/strong><\/span>despite living in different countries, spend the appropriate time going to the Temple for Dharma learning and Dharma practice, and attending the great Ceremony of Vu Lan joyfully.<\/strong><\/span>
\nWe know that VU LAN, the most important Spiritual Cultural Festival to the Buddha\u2019s disciples, includes the following events: <\/strong><\/span>
\nThe first is<\/span> to pray for the current parents to increase virtuous blessing and longevity. <\/strong><\/span>
\nThe second is<\/span> to pray for those who passed away will be born up to a peaceful realm. <\/strong><\/span>
\nThe third is<\/span> the effort to develop the learning and practice of the Buddha Dharma and the protection of the Three Jewels in the Vassa Vassa – Summer Retreat of lay devotees and monastic people. <\/strong><\/span>
\nThe Fourth is<\/span> to pray for world peace and for people to obtain joy and happiness. <\/strong><\/span>
\nThrough cultivating, learning, applying, and practicing the Buddha Dharma into our daily lives, we can enjoy reaping the flowers and fruits of peacefulness and happiness for ourselves and for other people right here and right now in the present life. <\/strong><\/span>
\nThe program of the VU LAN\u2019s great Ceremony at Ph\u00e1p Nh\u00e3n Temple will be held as follows<\/span>:<\/strong><\/span>
\n09:00 am:\u00a0 Welcome you all to Ph\u00e1p Nh\u00e3n Temple<\/strong><\/span>
\n09:30 am:\u00a0 Welcome monastic people to the Temple<\/strong><\/span>
\n10:00 am: The VU LAN\u2019s Great Ceremony<\/span> (will have a separate program<\/span>)<\/strong><\/span>
\n10:30 am: Dharma talk the meaning of VU LAN\u2019s Parents\u2019 Day<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n11:30 am: Rose Ceremony being pinned on pocket<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n12:00 pm: Making offerings to Monastics and having cordial lunch<\/strong><\/span>
\n12:30 pm: VU LAN songs performance<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n01:30 pm: The Ceremony of becoming the Buddha\u2019s children (1)<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n02:00 pm: Closing activities.<\/strong><\/span>
