(Bell)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\"><strong>Recollection of Gratitude to the Dharma <\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">The Dharma of the World-Honored One that has been well proclaimed by Himself is very practical in the present, has value beyond time, has the ability to transform one\u2019s body and mind, has the ability to extinguish defilements of greed, anger, delusion, arrogance, doubt, wrong view, etc. Taking refuge in the Dharma, an intellectual one who can also cultivate oneself masters the Dharma, comes and sees, comes and hears, comes and understands, comes and practices, comes and enjoys the flowers and fruits of peaceful joy and deliverance right here and right now in the present life.\u201d (Bell)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\"><strong>Recollection of Gratitude to the Sangha <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">The Sanghabody of the World-Honored One means the Community is on the really good, true, honest, beautiful, and appropriate path; the Community directs to the Buddhadharma, practices the Buddhadharma, and lives correctly with the Buddhadharma. In the noble Community, there are those who have attained and are attaining the holy fruition of the stream-enterer, the once-returner, the non-returner, \u00a0and that of Arahant, comprises four pairs and eight fruitions of holy people,<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a> accomplishes all aspects of ethics, meditation, wisdom, deliverance, and deliverance with right understanding. This Community deserves to be taken refuge in, served, respected, honored, admired, and made offerings, is the incomparable field of merit good for the world to sow and to plant.<a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\">[2]<\/a> (Bell)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\"><strong>Recollection of Gratitude to t<\/strong><strong>he Dharma Precepts<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\"><em>T<\/em>he Dharma Precepts of the World-Honored One \u2013 the Disciplince (Vinaya) and right mindfulness the Sanghabody has been receiving, practicing, spreading, and observing, are the perfect precepts body, are the never broken precepts body, are the never polluted precepts body, are the never spotted precepts body, are the never mingled precepts body, are the precepts body praised and admired by intellectuals, are the precepts body with the potential to protect freedom, are the precepts body leading to fearlessness, are the precepts body leading to right concentration, are the precepts body leading to insight, are the precepts body leading to deliverance and happiness forever.<a href=\"#_ftn3\" name=\"_ftnref3\">[3]<\/a> (Bell)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\"><strong>HAPPINESS SUTTA<\/strong><a href=\"#_ftn4\" name=\"_ftnref4\">[4]<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">The Buddha has taught ten methods of living happily as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">1\/Keeping far away from bad and evil people<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Always close to good and virtuous people<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Honoring those who are worth honoring<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">This is the greatest happiness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">2\/\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Knowing to choose a good environment<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">To do good things<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Walking on the path of true goodness<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">This is the greatest happiness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">3\/\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Diligently learning good jobs<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Knowing to live a life of virtue<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Knowing to speak loving speech<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">This is the greatest happiness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">4\/\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Knowing to support and serve parents<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Loving to take care of family<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Knowing to do a proper occupation<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">This is the greatest happiness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">5\/\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Living happily in almsgiving<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Helping relatives and friends<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Treating them flawlessly<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">This is the greatest happiness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">6\/\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To avoid not doing evil<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Not drunk and addicted<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Diligently doing good<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">This is the greatest happiness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">7\/ Knowing humbly and politely in manner<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">To learn about good things<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">To be grateful and know enough<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">This is the greatest happiness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">8\/Knowing perseverance and improvement<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Contact with talented and virtuous people<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Diligently studying together<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">This is the greatest happiness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">9\/\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Living in diligence and awakening<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Perceiving the Noble Truths,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Enjoying the Dharma joy<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">This is the greatest happiness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">10\/\u00a0 Living in the world<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">The mind never wavered<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Ending defilements at ease<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">This is the greatest happiness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Those who accomplish so<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Wherever they go is safe,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Wherever they come is strong<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Happiness for themselves and other people. (Bell)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\"><strong>COMPASSION SUTTA<a href=\"#_ftn5\" name=\"_ftnref5\">[5]<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">This is what should be done<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">By one who is skilled in goodness,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">And who knows the path of peace:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Let them be able and upright,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Straightforward and gentle in speech.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Humble and not conceited,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Contented and easily satisfied.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Unburdened with duties and frugal in their ways.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Peaceful and calm, wise and skillful,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Not proud and demanding in nature.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Let them not do the slightest thing<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">That the wise would later reprove.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Wishing: In gladness and in safety,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">May all beings be at ease.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Whatever living beings there may be;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Whether they are weak or strong, omitting none,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">The great or the mighty, medium, short or small,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">The seen and the unseen,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Those living near and far away,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Those born and to-be-born,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">May all beings be at ease!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Let none deceive another,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Or despise any being in any state.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Let none through anger or ill-will<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Wish harm upon another.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Even as a mother protects with her life<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Her child, her only child,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">So with a boundless heart<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Should one cherish all living beings:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Radiating kindness over the entire world:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Spreading upwards to the skies,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">And downwards to the depths;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Outwards and unbounded,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Freed from hatred and ill-will.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Whether standing or walking, seated or lying down<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Free from drowsiness,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">One should sustain this recollection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">This is said to be the sublime abiding.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">By not holding to fixed views, practitioners do not fall into wrong view, wrong thought, wrong speech, wrong action, wrong livelihood, wrong effort, wrong mindfulness, wrong concentration,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">The pure-hearted one, having clarity of vision,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Being freed from all sense desires,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Is not born again into this world. (Bell)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\"><strong>MAITREYA SPRING <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">On Lunar New Year&#8217;s first Day, <em>Maitreya<\/em> was born,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\"><em>Maitreya <\/em>Buddha is so peacefully,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">He is happy to embody a Bodhisattva,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">We pray peace for all with our sincere hearts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">On the new day, early year, he was born,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">with our good virtue and peaceful hearts,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">We who would like to respectfully offer them to him,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Pray for peacefulness to all over living beings. (Bell)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">New Spring gives life more fresh colors,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">The old and young open their happy smiles,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Everyone and every family that cultivate together,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">welcome the New Spring with their peaceful and joyful minds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Dwelling confidently in the Dharma,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Practitioner lightheartedly smiles<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Stably and freely in cultivation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Celebrating the Present Spring, so is happy. (Bell)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Spring Light shines all over the living beings<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">for young people to live in peacefulness<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">for our native country to be always happy<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">The City and countryside get peaceful and prosperous.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Today, Spring comes, flower buds open<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Tomorrow, next Spring arrives, flower buds will fade.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Dreams of human lifetime are in a short while<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Letting go of disputing to live at ease. (Bell)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Spring comes to recommend us words of foretelling,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">as it silently wishes for aspiration to see winter pass,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">All things are impermanent and changing,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Yet there is only the Mind Spring beautiful forever.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Spring comes all over the native land<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">for families of happiness, for people of peacefulness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">Spring Mind appearing everywhere,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 160%;\">shines the light of the Dharma for people to add Spring. Sakad\u0101g\u0101m\u012b <\/em>means the noble person who enters the second holy stream is called the once-returner (<em>Sakad\u0101g\u0101m\u012b<\/em>). This person has attained the Path (<em>Magga<\/em>) (iii) and the fruition (<em>Phala<\/em>) (iv) of <em>Sakad\u0101g\u0101m\u012b. An\u0101g\u0101m\u012b <\/em>means the noble person who enters the third holy stream is called the non-returner (<em>An\u0101g\u0101m\u012b<\/em>). This person has attained the Path (<em>Magga<\/em>) (v) and the fruition (<em>Phala<\/em>) (vi) of <em>An\u0101g\u0101m\u012b. <\/em>S. <em>Arahanta <\/em>= or P. <em>Arahant <\/em>means the noble person who enters the fourth holy stream is called the one who has deserved to be offered (1), who has killed the enemies of afflictions (2), who has broken the evil things completely (3), who has made maras of defilements terrified (4), who has ended the samsara of birth and death (5). This person has attained the Path (<em>Magga<\/em>) (vii) and the fruition (<em>Phala<\/em>) (viii) of <em>Arahanta.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>(i) and (ii) as one pair, (iii) and (iv) as one pair, (v) and (vi) as one pair, (vii) and (viii) as one pair, all consist of four pairs.
