Dear Bhante\u00a0Ariyapala Bhikkhu<\/em><\/span>,<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We just read and received News from Ariyapala Bhikkhu<\/strong><\/span> about the Death of H. H. Sangharaja Prof. Dr. Satyapala Mahathera<\/strong><\/span> leaving his physical body on May 4th, 2021 at 04:00 am in Bodhgaya, India.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Bhante Maha Thero Satyapala, the former Head of Department of Buddhist Studies of Delhi University, India, the Professor of generations of international students from different countries including us Vietnamese students. From the year 2002 to 2009, we had many good chances and wholesome conditions to study the Buddhadharma under Prof. Dr. Bhante Satyapala’s instructions. At that time, he, both the Head of Pali Department and the Head of Department of Buddhist Studies there, taught us, international students, very happily and enthusiastically. <\/span><\/p>\n

We had ever studied the original Buddhadharma so much from his instructions and teachings. He was both the director (President) of the International Meditation Center, Bodhgaya, India, and has many contributions to Buddhist education at Delhi University, India. He received many noble awards from the Indian government and the Myanmar government.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, although his physical body did not remain in this world any longer, his spiritual body as well as Dharma body still exists forever in our minds. As his old students, we lead our sincere and respectful hearts to Bodhgaya, India, we wholeheartedly contribute to praying for peace to him who was born peacefully up to the Buddha’s land. <\/span><\/p>\n
