font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Be yourself taking refuge in yourself<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 180%; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Be yourself taking refuge in your own island<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 180%; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Be yourself making the island for your own refuge<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 180%; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Be yourself taking refuge in your own stable cultivation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 180%; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Do not take refuge in anyone or anything else.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 180%; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Use the Dharma as the lamp to illuminate yourself<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 180%; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Use the Dharma as the island for yourself<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 180%; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Use the Dharma as the best refuge for yourself<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 180%; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Use the Dharma to practice and benefit yourself and other people right in the present life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 180%; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Therefore, you are determined to take refuge in <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">the right Dharma<\/span><\/strong>, not to take refuge in <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">the wrong dharma<\/span><\/strong>, or anything else.\u201d <a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 180%; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">To take refuge in <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>the right Dharma<\/strong><\/span> means to take refuge in cultivation of your own virtue, meditation, wisdom, deliverance, and deliverance with right understanding.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 180%; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Not to take refuge in <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>the wrong dharma<\/strong><\/span> means not to take refuge in Brahma, gods, devils, monsters, heresies, wrong dharma, wrong teachings, wrong teachers, bad people, and bad environment.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 180%; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">In <em>D\u012bgha Nik\u0101ya<\/em>, <em>Maha-parinibbana Sutta<\/em> 16, before entering <em>Nibbana<\/em>, the Buddha has advised his disciples: \u201cO disciples, everything is impermanent and changing. Make great effort to cultivate and practice the <em>Buddhadharma<\/em> more and more, to bring joy and happiness for yourselves and for other people right here and right now in the present life. <strong><span style=\"background-color: #ffff00;\">These are my essential, practical, and key teachings for you all<\/span><\/strong>.\u201d<a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\"><sup>[2]<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 180%; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">As well-trained people skillfully learning, understanding, applying, and practicing the <em>Buddhadharma<\/em> in the daily life flexibly, regularly, and properly, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>like the strong lions, we do not fear any sound and noise in life<\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 180%; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">As well-trained people skillfully learning, understanding, applying, and practicing the <em>Buddhadharma<\/em> in the daily life flexibly, regularly, and properly, <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">like the winds blowing, we are not afraid to get stuck in the net<\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 180%; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">As well-trained people skillfully learning, understanding, applying, and practicing the <em>Buddhadharma<\/em> in the daily life flexibly, regularly, and properly, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>like fresh lotuses growing out of the mud and muddy water, but they are not polluted by the mud and muddy water; in the similar way, we live in the world, but we are not polluted by the world<\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 180%; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">As well-trained people skillfully learning, understanding, applying, and practicing the <em>Buddhadharma<\/em> in the daily life flexibly, regularly, and properly, <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">like the firmest islands of ourselves, we are not afraid of all the obstacles and storms of life<\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 180%; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">As well-trained people skillfully learning, understanding, applying, and practicing the <em>Buddhadharma<\/em> in the daily life flexibly, regularly, and properly, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>like the mighty rhinos, we take the stablest and strongest steps forward in life<\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 180%; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">As well-trained people skillfully learning, understanding, applying, and practicing the <em>Buddhadharma<\/em> in the daily life flexibly, regularly, and properly, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>like the birds with two wings soaring high in the sky to enjoy the vast space, we can live a life of freedom, lightness, serenity, and nobility<\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 180%; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">When being aware of clearly understanding and practicing so, we are the most peaceful and happiest people in the world.
