INVITATION LETTER OF THE VU LAN GREAT CEREMONY \u2013 PARENTS\u2019 DAY – 2566 <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Sunday, August 21st<\/sup> 2022<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

To: Dear Monastic, lay Buddhists, and everyone,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

We respectfully hear that:<\/span><\/p>\n

“Each year, lunar July, the full Moon Day<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The filial children diligently say well-being prayers;<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Praying for parents to live long<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Instructing children and grandchildren to take refuge in peacefulness together<\/strong><\/span>.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Indeed, yearly, when the great Ceremony of Vu Lan – Parents’ Day, the Buddha’s children, despite living in different countries, spend the appropriate time go to the Temple to listen to the Buddha Dharma and attend the great Ceremony of Vu Lan joyfully. We know that VU LAN, an important Spiritual Cultural Festival to filial people, consists of the following events: The first<\/span> <\/strong>is to pray for parents living in the present to increase virtuous blessing and longevity. The second<\/strong><\/span> is to pray for those who passed away were born up to a peaceful realm. The third<\/strong><\/span> is to pray for world peace and for people to obtain peacefulness. Through cultivating, learning, applying, and practicing the Buddha Dharma into our daily lives, we can enjoy reaping the flowers and fruits of peacefulness and happiness for ourselves and for other people right here and right now in the present life. This year, the VU LAN\u2019s great Ceremony at Ph\u00e1p Nh\u00e3n Temple will be held as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n

09:00 am:\u00a0 \u00a0Welcome you all to Ph\u00e1p Nh\u00e3n Temple<\/span><\/p>\n

09:30 am:\u00a0 \u00a0Welcome monastic people to the Temple<\/span><\/p>\n

10:00 am: The VU LAN\u2019s great Ceremony<\/strong><\/span> (will have a separate program)<\/span><\/p>\n

10:30 am: Dharma talk about the meaning of VU LAN – Parents’ Day<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

11:30 am:\u00a0 Rose Ceremony being pinned on pocket<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

12:00 pm: Making offerings to Monastics and having cordial lunch<\/span><\/p>\n

12:30 pm: VU LAN songs performance<\/span><\/p>\n

01:30 pm: The Ceremony of becoming the Buddha\u2019s children[1]<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

02:00 pm: Closing.<\/span><\/p>\n
