FUNERAL PROGRAM OF THE LATE MOST VENERABLE THÍCH PHÁP QUANG
Aniccā vata saṅkhārā
Uppādavayadhammino
Uppajjitvā nirujjhanti
Tesaṃ vūpasamo sukho.
Mahāparinibbāna Sutta (Dīgha Nikāya 16)
All conditioned things are impermanent;
They arise and pass away. 
When arising and passing away cease, 
Peaceful cessation is bliss.

In harmony with the law of impermanence, the Most Venerable Thích Pháp Quang peacefully passed away at his Bodhi Hermitage (Bồ-đề Am) on January 21, 2026, at 3:38 a.m.
At the age of 76, with 36 rains-retreats (Vassa)
The funeral services will be held at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660, on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 3 and 4, 2026.
The Encoffining Ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. on February 3, 2026 (corresponding to the 16th day of the 12th lunar month, Year of the Snake).
The Cremation Procession Ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. on February 4, 2026 (corresponding to the 17th day of the 12th lunar month, Year of the Snake), at 5416 Parkcrest Dr, Austin, TX 78731.
With deepest respect, we kindly request no funeral banners or floral wreaths.
We humbly ask the Venerable Monastics and devoted Buddhists to graciously understand and comply.

Seven-Day Memorial Service Program for the Spirit of the Late Most Venerable Master
The Austin Buddhist Community and Pháp Nhãn Temple respectfully announce:
As the Most Venerable Master passed away on a Wednesday, the weekly seven-day memorial services for his Spirit will be held every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.
We respectfully invite the Venerable Sangha and all Buddhist devotees to set aside a moment of your precious time to come to Bodhi Am (Bồ-đề Am) Hermitage, founded by the Late Venerable Master, located at 125 Bilmar Street, Elgin, TX 78621, to participate in the services and offer memorial prayers for the complete and perfect fulfillment of the Late Venerable Master’s spiritual journey.
We express our deepest gratitude to all Venerables and participants.
May you be blessed with abundant health, peace of body and mind, and the successful completion of all your Buddhist endeavors.
