A FEW WORDS OF GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION
DURING THE FORTY-NINTH-DAY MEMORIAL WEEK
FOR THE LATE MOST VENERABLE THÍCH PHÁP QUANG
Namo The Original Teacher Shakyamuni Buddha

Đôi lời cảm tạ và tri ơn trong Lễ Chung Thất Cố Hòa thượng Thích Pháp Quang

Respectfully to the Most Venerable Elders, Venerable Monks and Nuns,
Dear lay Buddhist devotees near and far,
In the Dhammapada, Verses 54 and 98, the Buddha teaches:
The fragrance of flowers,
does not travel against the wind;
but the virtue of a righteous person
spreads far and wide, against the wind.
Only a truly noble One,
can shine brightly in all directions.
Whether in a village or in a deep forest,
Whether in a valley or on a high hill,
Wherever Arahants dwell,
That place is truly delightful.
The Late Most Venerable Thích Pháp Quang, founding Abbot of Bồ Đề Am and our revered Teacher, once resided here and passed away on January 21, 2026.

In the spirit of Linh Sơn Dharma fellowship and in the bonds of fellow Buddhist devotees, Your Excellencies did not hesitate despite advanced age or frail health, nor were they deterred by the long journeys. Our fellow Buddhist devotees did not let work or daily responsibilities prevent them from participating.
All of you generously devoted your precious time to come together, offering compassionate energy and prayers for the Blessed Spirit of our revered Teacher, the Late Most Venerable Thích Pháp Quang, that he may rest in the peace of the Buddha’s Realm.
The Organizing Committee, together with the late Teacher’s disciples and Dharma family, sincerely pay homage and offer our heartfelt gratitude to all the Venerable Sangha and Buddhist lay devotees who have contributed so much—through their effort, time, donations, and offerings, both material and spiritual. We respectfully thank you all.

Life should always remember gratitude;
Remember the Triple Gem, Teachers, Mother and Father,
Remember the donors and charitable acts,
Remember society and a peaceful nation,
Remember all fellow beings of this world,
And always repay the kindness of all creatures.

Dear Maha Sangha,
Today is the Forty-Ninth-Day Memorial Ceremony of our Late Revered Teacher.
During the course of organizing this ceremony, if there have been any oversights in hospitality, we humbly ask for your kind forgiveness.

I vow until the end of my life
To do good, avoid evil, and help beings far and wide.
I vow to learn, to understand, and to love,
and to spread the True Dharma, bringing peace to every street and home.
I vow to stay in this place,
To practice the path with calm and mindful days.
I vow to live by the Golden Way,
and to be a devoted Buddhist, bringing joy and peace to all.
Finally, we respectfully wish Your Excellencies and all of you lasting peace of body and mind, and the successful fulfillment of all Buddhist endeavors.

Namo Buddhaya. Namo Dharmaya. Namo Sanghaya.
