Dear Venerable Monks, Nuns, Buddhist Youth Association Leaders, Lay Buddhist members of the Sangha,
Dear Fellow Buddhists and everyone near and far,
Over the past few days, we have been heartbroken by the news of the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. This disaster has caused great loss of property, taken many lives, and disrupted the lives of countless families. Vietnamese American United Buddhist Congregation (VAUBC) would like to express our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the families affected by this tragic event.
With deep gratitude to the United States of America for taking in Vietnamese refugees, along with the spirit of compassion, mutual assistance, and mutual love,
Vietnamese American United Buddhist Congregation (VAUBC) respectfully calls on the Venerable Monks, Nuns, Buddhist Youth Association Leaders, lay Buddhist members of the Church, and all Vietnamese compatriots in the United States to pray and join hands in donating money to support the families in distress.
Every contribution, no matter how big or small, is a noble act, helping the victims overcome difficulties and rebuild their lives.
Please send your contributions to the General Department of Charities of the Church at the address and contact information below. We accept contributions from the date of the Circular until January 31, 2025.
All donations will be transferred by the Church to the authorities in Los Angeles to support the affected families.
May the compassionate light of Buddha always shine, bringing peace and happiness to everyone.
