POEM: HIS HOLINESS ZEN MASTER TUỆ SỸ

Zen Master Tuệ Sỹ, excellent Dharma Teacher
with the eyes of wisdom and a thin and great figure
Although his age is almost at the end of the Fall,
He always braves in the midst of this world.
Solemnly, vigorously, superiorly
translating the Sutras and comment on this Shravaka Pitaka
Worthy of the title of Tathagata’s chief disciple
Most Venerable Tuệ Sỹ is multi-talented and compassionate.
The Dragon and Elephant Master just departed
Leaving behind Buddhist Texts and wondrous poetry
No matter where we live,
Single-mindedly memorize our loved Teacher.
Even though the four great elements are impermanent,
The Master’s mind shining in all directions is near.
His full loving-kindness, compassion, and wisdom
The Venerable Elder Tuệ Sỹ illuminates the world.
