POEM FOR THE 37TH EUROPEAN DHARMA RETREAT

The Thirty-Seventh European Buddhist Retreat,
The Dharma’s sacred voice resounds so pure and sweet.
Every year we gather with hearts as one,
Monastics and lay friends beneath the Dharma sun.

Studying the Buddha’s radiant teachings bright,
Cultivating virtue, wisdom, and inner light.
Ten days of practice in Marseille’s embrace,
With faith and devotion, we walk the path of peace.

May the Dharma’s radiant light shine far and wide,
Guiding all beings with compassion as our guide.
With wisdom and merit ever shining bright,
Taking refuge in the Triple Gem, we dwell in peace and light.

The Marseille Dharma Retreat in France,
Monastics and devotees rejoice in harmony’s dance.
From all directions they gather as one,
Spreading the true Dharma beneath the radiant sun.
.
Harmony in body, gentle words we share,
Peaceful minds blooming with wisdom and care.
Chanting the sutras, their echoes flow so far,
Wisdom shines brightly like a guiding star.
.
Together we sow wholesome seeds of grace,
Bodhi companions shine throughout all space.
Cultivating virtues, pure and bright,
Spreading the True Dharma, bringing peace and light.

May merit ever bloom and rise,
May wisdom open heart and eyes;
May One Vehicle lead us through,
For self and others, whole and true.
.
With faithful hearts we make this vow:
To grow in merit here and now;
To reach the Buddha’s One True Way,
And help all beings day by day.
.
May we, the Buddha’s disciples, all vow,
To sow vast fields of merit here and now;
Attain the One Vehicle’s Buddhahood so bright,
Awake ourselves and guide all beings to the Light.
